Harry Kane scores four as Spurs hit hapless Leicester for six
Tottenham Hotspur secured their biggest ever away win in the Premier League at the King Power stadium in a 6-1 thrashing of Leicester City.
Harry Kane hit four goals past Kasper Schmeichel and Heung-Min Son added a brace of his own to complete the rout.
The last time Spurs were in action they relinquished what slim chance they had of pipping Chelsea to the title in a loss to West Ham.
Since then the league title has been decided but Spurs showed their class in a brilliant performance worthy of their season.
Harry Kane’s four goals have lifted him to the top of the goalscorers chart –2 above Lukaku on 24– and he could conceivably join Robin van Persie and Thierry Henry in an elite list of strikers to have won the Golden boot in consecutive seasons.
The manner in which Leicester caved after Ben Chilwell’s goal –to make it 2-1– was doubtless alarming for their manager but Tottenham’s dominance was so complete as to totally merit the scoreline.
Like it or not, Tottenham play the best football in the league and they are delicious to watch.
