Conte will not tone down goal celebrations for Mourinho
Chelsea welcome former manager Jose Mourinho to Stamford Bridge on Monday night in an FA Cup quarterfinal tie and ahead of the tie Antonio Conte has insisted he will still behave as he normally does on the touchline despite angering Mourinho with his celebrations last time out.
Jose Mourinho was visibly upset with the Italian for what he perceived as an attempt to humiliate his team in the four nil loss and had words with him before storming down the tunnel but Conte says they have not been in contact since.
‘It’s not important. We have nothing to clarify with him.
‘I’ve shown at Chelsea and with every team I’ve managed that I live the game with great passion.
‘Sometimes I want to share my enthusiasm with my players, my staff and also the fans. It is normal.’
Manchester United have lost just twice in 31 games in all competitions since winning the EFL Cup in that time while Chelsea have opened up a 10-point gap at the top of the table.
