Lukaku: ‘I want to win the big trophies’

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has affirmed his intent to win as many trophies as he can in his career further fueling the speculation that he could be set for a move away from Goodison Park.

Speaking to Sky Sports Lukaku said,
“Obviously I want to win the biggest trophies there are, as much as I can, but for me I have to keep on going like I am.

“If you want to become one of the best world players – if you look at the like of Messi, Ronaldo, Thierry Henry – they were players who were constantly improving, constantly getting better.

His manager Ronald Koeman is resigned to the possibility of losing his top goal scorer, the Belgian has scored 17 times in 25 Premier League appearances this season, but he also highlighted the Toffees’ ambition to grow into a title winning side themselves,

“As Everton, we need to show all the players that we are growing and we will finally win titles but I understand players wanting to play in the Champions League, it’s a normal ambition and we will see what will happen with Romelu [Lukaku] and other players.”
