Ideye agrees deal to join Mikel at Tianjin TEDA
Nigeria and Olympiakos striker Brown Ideye has agreed personal terms with a Chinese side ahead of a possible move according to ESPN
The club rumoured to have inquired after Ideye is none other than Tianjin Teda who already have Super Eagles’ captain Mikel Obi on the roster.
After parting ways with West Brom following a solid but lacklustre one-year spell in which he scored 7 goals in 31 games as the Baggies record signing, Ideye was a key cog in Olympiakos’ Greek Super League win last year with 13 goals and has scored 15 this season.
The Chinese Super League transfer window is set to close on the 28th of February and Tianjin have till then to complete a deal as they look to mend issues in their team that has seen them lose eight consecutive matches in preseason.
Should the deal go through Ideye would join a raft Nigerian players including Mikel Obi, Odion Ighalo and Asisat Oshoala to transfer to China within the last 2 months.
