Mourinho: United have a thirty-five percent chance of winning EFL Cup
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said at a press conference that his has a thirty-five percent chance of winning the English Football League cup ahead of his side’s semifinal tie with Hull City.
Mourinho, asked whether Manchester United can go all the way and win the EFL Cup, replied: “I really don’t know. I know that it’s going to be hard. Let’s see what happens. In this moment, we have a 35% chance to win the EFL Cup.”
He had nothing but good words for relegation threatened Hull and their gaffer Marco Silva though, “They played the matches they won at home very well too. They played very well against Chelsea, too. So, I think they’re in a good situation.
“I knew that Marco was such a good coach that the team would really improve. He still has a very difficult job in hand, still a big fight with some other five, six, seven teams for relegation, but a good coach. Very good.”
Mourinho also reveals that his injury worries are limited with defender Marcos Rojo fit for tomorrow’s match after missing the game at Stoke through illness.
Liverpool take on Southampton in the other semifinal today.
