Gov. Wike leads protest to Rivers State Police Headquarters

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Thurday led a protest with members of the state executive council, legislators and PDP members to the State Police Headquarters in Port Harcourt. 

They called for the immediate transfer of Assistant Commissioner of Police-in-Charge of Operation, Stephen Hasso and the Commander Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Akin Fakorede. 
Governor Wike said the two police officers are a threat to the peace and security to the people of the state following video evidence of their involvement in the just concluded re-run legislative election.
They carried placards, chanting songs for the officials to leave the state. 
Responding, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyril Okoro promised that the complaint of the Governor will be taken to the appropriate authority.
