Popular Cool FM OAP, Ifedapo Oyerinde, also known as Freeze, has threatened to stop operating with Zenith Bank and also to sell all his shares with the bank if it is true that some Zenith Bank officials knelt before embattled Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose.
Some pictures and video clips alleged to have been released by the Governor’s aides are making the rounds on the internet.
The man kneeling in the picture is said to be a branch manager from one of the bank’s branches in Ekiti State.
It will be recalled that Fayose had alleged that Zenith Bank sponsored his election following EFCC’s freezing of his account.
Shortly afterwards, it was reported that the bank denied being involved in funding the governor’s election.
However, the pictures have been spreading, showing the bank officials bowing to appease the governor for the denial.
Reacting to the news, Freeze wrote on his Instagram: “If these are really Zenith bank workers I am utterly disappointed!
“What rubbish!? Either side of the argument I see unethical banking practices.
“Being accused of giving financial backing to a candidate in an election is bad enough, then men with the alleged bank’s ID kneeling before a governor?? This is the height of it.
“Dear Zenith bank, you had better come up with a good explanation for this garbage or I will be tempted to stop banking with you and sell all the shares I have in your bank, as I will never own a single share or have an account with a bank that funds political campaigns! ~FRZ.”
